If you bought Dictate and lost the receipt, use the Lemon Squeezy customer portal — they will resend your key. Recover license.
Refund request
We offer a 14-day no-questions-asked refund window. Email support@norelabs.com with your purchase email, or use the Lemon Squeezy customer portal linked in your receipt.
App didn't install or open
Make sure you're on macOS 14 Sonoma or later, with Apple Silicon (M1 or newer). Intel Macs are not supported. After installing the DMG, drag Dictate.app to your Applications folder and grant microphone access on first launch.
Microphone not working
macOS → System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone — make sure Dictate is allowed. If it isn't listed, restart Dictate and try the hotkey again, then the permission prompt will appear.
Update check fails
Dictate uses Sparkle to check https://dictate.norelabs.com/appcast.xml. If updates fail, check your firewall is not blocking that domain, then restart the app. Manual download is always available from dictate.norelabs.com.
